I have been selling real estate for over four years. Before I received my license I had previous real estate internships. In order to receive my real estate license, I attended real estate school for both the salesperson and broker’s license. I have passed both tests and have my Broker Officer’s license. I started my real estate career as a part-time job which eventually led into a full-time occupation. Because I teamed up with “The Edge,” I was able to quit my full-time job and begin the career I always wanted.
Teaming up with “The Edge” has been incredibly beneficial to me and my clients. “The Edge” is composed of three First Tier Realtors®, Rob Smith, Jay Wilson, & I. Combining the talents of three people has taken our team to a new level. We often tell our clients that they are getting three Realtors® for the price of one. You usually don’t get this kind of representation in this line of work. Between the three of us we have over 20 years of experience. I am also a new owner of First Tier Realtors®. This is a new accomplishment that I am very proud of and hope to help First Tier Realtors® continue to prosper throughout the years. What I love most about my job is that every day brings new adventures and challenges. I am always learning something new because the real estate market is always changing. I always look for ways to prosper in my career. I am educating myself and am also earning real estate designations at the same time. Currently, I have earned the ePro®, SRS®, ABR® and CRS® designations. The ePro® designation has helped me to realize the importance of technology in the real estate business and also motivated me to implement it. CRS® stands for Certified Residential Specialist and is a series of classes that must be taken and tests passed to earn this designation. SRS® stands for Seller’s Representative Specialist and classes must also be taken for this designation. ABR® stands for Accredited Buyer’s Representative. This is my most recent designation and I am very proud of it. I also am taking an at home course that teaches you to be an expert in new home construction. A Certified New Home Specialist® is what my designation will be when I finish this course. I plan to finish this designation later this year. I feel by earning these designations I will be able to better service my clients. I am married to Jon McCarty, my best friend of many years. We are both from Shelby County, Missouri. Jon and I share a love for real estate investing and formed a real estate partnership, McCarty Property Investments, LLC. We have already acquired over 30 units and plan to keep investing in the Columbia market. What sets me apart is that I give my clients the individual attention they deserve!
